Dr. Amanda Miller

Dr. Amanda Miller

Dr. Amanda Miller is a dedicated dentist from Oromocto, New Brunswick, who has spent most of her life in the Maritimes. Her warm, patient-centred approach reflects her belief that everyone deserves a healthy smile and a comfortable dental experience.

Dr. Miller views dentistry as a way to care for her patients’ overall well-being while helping them feel confident about their smiles. She creates a welcoming and supportive environment, ensuring even the most apprehensive patients can have a positive experience.

She earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of New Brunswick and Dalhousie University. Committed to excellence, Dr. Miller stays up-to-date with the latest dental advancements through continuing education and is a proud member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association and Canadian Dental Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys running, swimming, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She’s also learning to play golf.

Dr. Amanda Demsey

Dr. Amanda Demsey, originally from Kitchener, Ontario, now proudly calls Nova Scotia home. After earning both her undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees at Dalhousie University, she began her career in St. John’s, Newfoundland, before returning to Halifax and joining the team at Nova Dental.

Dr. Demsey is passionate about providing patient-centred care and believes in looking beyond teeth to consider her patients’ overall well-being. She strives to ensure every visit is as comfortable as possible, whether it’s a toddler’s first dental appointment or caring for elderly patients in Nova Dental’s wheelchair-accessible operatories.

Committed to excellence, Dr. Demsey regularly attends conferences and conventions to stay current with the latest dental advancements, techniques, and materials.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Demsey enjoys reading, running, camping, and traveling. Her love of exploration and the outdoors perfectly complements her dedication to helping her patients smile with confidence.

Dr. Tesia Rolle

Dr. Tesia Rolle

Dr. Tesia Rolle was born in Vancouver, B.C., and raised between Nassau, The Bahamas, and Halifax. Her diverse upbringing instilled in her a strong sense of community and compassion, which she brings to her dental practice every day.

Dr. Rolle believes in providing quality care with a personal touch. She is committed to creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for her patients, ensuring they feel heard and valued at every visit.

She pursued her post-secondary education at Dalhousie University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. During her studies, she received the prestigious International College of Dentists Award and the Dr. Bruce N. Fergusson Memorial Award for her exceptional leadership, character, and scholarship. Dr. Rolle is a certified Invisalign provider and an active member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and multiple study clubs.

Outside of work, Dr. Rolle enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and staying active through athletics.

Dr. Emily Porskamp

Dr. Emily Porskamp grew up in a small town in rural Nova Scotia, where her own visits to the dentist inspired her dream of becoming a dentist. From an early age, she knew she wanted to combine her love for science with her passion for helping others.

Dr. Emily believes in providing patient-centred care that blends the best of modern dentistry with a compassionate approach. She strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable and empowered to achieve their healthiest smile.

She earned her Biology degree from Acadia University before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University in 2014. Following graduation, Dr. Emily gained valuable experience at a busy family practice in Newfoundland before relocating to Calgary in 2016. She is thrilled to return home to Nova Scotia to serve the local community with care and expertise.

Outside of work, Dr. Emily enjoys spending time with family, exploring nature, and traveling.

Dr. Jasmeen Kaur

Dr. Jasmeen Kaur

Dr. Kaur was born and raised in India, where she earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. After moving to Canada with her family in 2010, she pursued the qualification process for internationally trained dentists, completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University in 2019. She furthered her expertise with a General Practice Residency at Dalhousie, gaining advanced training in surgery, hospital dentistry, sedation, and care for medically complex patients.

Passionate about comprehensive and preventive care, Dr. Kaur prioritizes patient education and ethical treatment. She believes in creating a trusting, welcoming environment for all her patients. Alongside her practice, Dr. Kaur is a part-time clinical instructor at Dalhousie’s Faculty of Dentistry, helping to shape the next generation of dentists.

Dr. Kaur lives in Halifax with her husband and two young daughters. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and exploring Nova Scotia’s beautiful outdoors.
